I believe in the balance of life and happiness. I love focusing on being healthy and what works for me but I’ve also learned that it’s important to indulge and to practice an 80/20 rule. This means 80% of the time, I generally follow a low carb, high protein, greens, fiber and fat, minimal sugar diet, working out 5 times a week, reading the Atlantic, avoiding alcohol, drinking lots of water, and getting plenty of sleep. However, I reserve 20% of the time for indulgences like wine and tequila, staying out a bit later, taking rest days, watching television and eating one of my favorite foods, ice cream. This blog is about that balance. I share recipes, readings, products and life musings. For me, it is not about being perfect. It’s about feeling good and living life and doing what feeds the soul.
